President Obama will address the nation on a national security issue late Sunday. The White House wouldn’t say what the topic is. Several media sources are reporting that the president will confirm that Osama bin Laden is dead.

50,000 dead starfish found on Irish beach

Extreme weather conditions have killed tens of thousands of starfish and left them strewn across a sheltered beach.

A carpet of pink and mauve echinoderms, a family of marine animals, appeared yesterday morning on Lissadell Beach in north Co Sligo.

The adult starfish, measuring between 7cm and 20cm in diameter and estimated to be up to 50,000 in number, stretched along 150 metres of the strand.

Marine biologist and lecturer at Sligo Institute of Technology Bill Crowe speculated that they had been lifted up by a storm while feeding on mussel beds off shore. LINK

Wayman Tisdale Dead at 44

Former Oklahoma star, NBA veteran, award winning jazz musician, and all around good guy lost his fight with cancer today. For all of his accomplishments before and after basketball, Wayman Tisdale will always be tied to Keith Lee of Memphis State and that epic game in 1985. QUOTED:: I rooted for Wayman back then and was rooting for him to beat cancer these last two years. Both losses in the end, but a valiant fight each time. LINK
