"A tortoise has been born in Zilina, Slovakia with two heads and five legs. According to zoologists, the unique case is comparable to what happens when Siamese twins are born."
The animal, which has been named Magdalena, also has two brains that work independently from each other.
But having two heads and five legs can be a burden, according to her owner Roman Gresak. He said: "The second head sometimes doesn't allow the tortoise to know where to go".
Magdalena would not be able to survive in the wild because other tortoises would exclude her from their collective. LINK, Via: Youtube

This 2-Year-Old Kid Knows More About Space Than You Do
This adorable little astronomer knows the solar system. He loves magnetic fields and can recognize Neil deGrasse Tyson. He knows that Pluto is a dwarf planet. He knows the names of Pluto's moons. It's like a supernova of cute. LINK: Youtube
The video is the runner up in the American Museum of Natural History's Rose Center Anniversary Video Contest, a competition that enlisted science-junkies to make videos about the stories that inspired them most. Clearly this little fellow finds space very inspirational.
The winner of the contest was this very good video overview of the Large Hadron Collider:
Excellent production values! It won its creator, Luke, a trip to New York to celebrate the Rose Center's 10th anniversary. That's OK though, New York is a little too terrestrial for the runner up's tastes anyway. [AMNH] LINK: Youtube Via: Gizmodo

2-year-old girl is a whiz at geography

Harika Petchetti, 2, is not only already reading, but she's a budding geography whiz.
Her love for geography started when her seven year old brother was studying for a geography bee and she learned alongside him.
Upstairs in her home, Harika's parents have put up a map of the US and a map of the world.
She knows all of the states as well as all of the countries of the world and their capitals.
