World's Greatest soda Pop Store

Mayor Mike says: "John Nese is the owner of Soda Pop Stop pop only store in LA. Listening to him rattle off what makes or breaks a good soft drink, makes me thirsty. Listening to his passion about supporting the little man in the face of large corporate pressure in the marketplace is just plain refreshing."

John Nese is the proprietor of Galcos Soda Pop Stop in LA. His father ran it as a grocery store, and when the time came for John to take charge, he decided to convert it into the ultimate soda-lovers destination. About 500 pops line the shelves, sourced lovingly by John from around the world. John has made it his mission to keep small soda-makers afloat and help them find their consumers. Galcos also acts as a distributor for restaurants and bars along the West Coast, spreading the gospel of soda made with cane sugar (no high-fructose corn syrup if John can avoid it). Funky Wine-Tasting Bar

This gorgeous wine-tasting bar created by artist Claire Danthois really caught my eye. Constructed out of recycled oak from old wine barrels, the bar was inspired by a visit to Newton Vineyard in Napa California, where they take pride in the sustainable methods used in crafting their wines.” LINK

Water Bar

These tables and benches might look like they're covered in water, something that you wouldn't want to sit down at to eat a meal due to the obvious soggy nature of the meal. Well, you'd be wrong, as you could sit down at this magical furniture and stand up as dry as a bone.
Yep, these pieces of art were created in Japan, designed by Tokujin Yoshioka and installed by Olafur Eliasson. They're actually made out of fancy, sure-to-be-expensive glass of the type used in telescopes. The optical glass gives the illusion of being water while retaining all the properties of, well, glass.
