"QUOTE" 7am CAT - You may want to go full screen. Cheetah split up, flush out Impala, Wilebeest and Zebra. Most of the action is hard to see back at the treeline. Bald Eagle Catching a Starling

The National Wildwife Federation has an annual photography competition. The image above was the Grand Prize winner in the “Professional” category in 2009.

While watching a group of bald eagles that had congregated at a local cattle feed lot, Palmer noticed the raptors were climbing into the air to catch starlings and blackbirds—not necessarily typical prey for the large birds.

Orangutan Hunts Fish With Spear

A male orangutan, clinging precariously to overhanging branches, flails the water with a pole, trying desperately to spear a passing fish. It is the first time one has been seen using a tool to hunt.

The extraordinary image, a world exclusive, was taken in Borneo on the island of Kaja, where apes are rehabilitated into the wild after being rescued from zoos, private homes or even butchers' shops. LINK
