The British Royal Mail service commissioned Studio Dempsey to create first class stamps with classic albums covers. The covers include albums from Blur, New Order, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Primal Scream, David Bowie, The Clash, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, and Coldplay -but no Beatles.

The final selection of ten sleeves (which perhaps oddly doesn’t feature one of The Beatles’ album covers) will appear on a set of 10 stamps that will launch on January 7, 2010 – and the stamps will be uniquely shaped, as shown in these images, to accommodate a glimpse of a vinyl disc poking out of each record sleeve.

"QUOTE" The only problem with this synch is. Finding a copy of "Ummagumma" on cassette tape. The original Ummagumma was a double LP released in 1969. You can also find it on CD. One disc has live songs on it, and the other disc was done in the studio. The cassette tape used to make this sync is a re-release of the studio version, that came out in 1973. It's not available on CD. That's why it's hard to find. The re-release version has the songs in a different order than the original. It is in this order in which the songs synch with the movie. What's the purpose of re-releasing an album with the songs in a different order? That's why it's believed this is the hidden soundtrack for 2001:'s "The Dawn Of Man".

Pink Floyd Extreme Case Mod

If you happen to really like Pink Floyd, (or any band for that matter) this is a great tutorial that demonstrates how to mod a case and dedicate it to your favorite band. This one uses an actual hammer soldered to the top as a case handle. From the full tutorial "Some modders with great talents came up with a terrific case mod computer based on the successful album "The Wall". It includes recognizable parts of the album and movie like the hammers, the emblems, and the bricked design. The result is absolutely breathtaking.
