Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Update)

This was fascinating as every motion was so perfectly executed.
The Tomb of the Unknowns (also known as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) is a monument dedicated to American service members who have died without their remains being identified.

Update: Sgt. Adam L. Dickmyer (the one doing the inspection), age 26, was killed in action in Afghanistan on Oct. 28, 2010. RIP.

Sniper Sets World Distance Record With 8,120 Foot Kill - Diggnation Daily

It was silent but deadly. A British sniper set a world sharpshooting record by taking out two Taliban soldiers in Afghanistan from more than a mile and a half away. To put it into American terms, the distance was just about from the Statue of Liberty to Battery Park. Even crazier, a shot from that distance has no visible source and no audible shot. Peace Through Accordion

Gregory Warner took his accordion to Afghanistan hoping to make friends. The reception he received was not at all as he expected. He found himself compared to an Afghan pop star from 30 years ago!
