Toowoomba Flood 2011.01.10
Amazing footage of East Creek near Chalk Drive / Chalk Lane rising and washing away lots of cars during Flash Flood in Toowoomba on Monday 10 January 2011. This is some of the best footage I have seen of the Flood and was taken from the second floor of our office which backs onto Chalk Lane.
It shows just how fast the creek turned into a torrent and quickly flooded Chalk Drive and Chalk Lane.
I also got some video of where the creek crosses Neil Street and some video of the aftermath and the huge amount of cars damaged and piled on top of one another in the Chalk Drive car park. LINK: Youtube

Paint by Traffic
(YouTube Link)
At the Rosenthaler Platz, an intersection in Berlin, artists poured paint on to the street to see what images cars, buses, and bicycles would make with it:
The various colours of paint were dumped onto the road in large puddles at different locations throughout the intersection. As traffic drove through, the paint was spread around creating lots of colourful lines. The whole action took only a few seconds: bikers had poured paint from big boxes in front of cars that waited for green lights. So the cars and their wheels, if the driver wanted it or not, became the brush tool for this guerilla public art piece. The creators of the project posted signs on post nearby explaining that the paint wasn’t harmful and would simply wash off with water

6 Cars So Alluring They're In An Art Museum

Some cars are so beautifully designed and exquisitely engineered that they transcend mere transportation to become works of art. They are rolling sculptures. Curators at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, USA, agree. The museum is hosting an exhibition to celebrate automotive design, and it has gathered a very impressive assortment of cars.
The Allure of the Automobile, which runs through June 20, features 18 vehicles created in what could be called the golden age of design, from the early 1930s through the early 1960s. LINK: The Presurfer
