Chainsaw Art
Chainsaws are an effective tool that can also be incredibly dangerous (we’ve all seen our fair share of Friday the 13th sequels). But did you know chainsaws have become unlikely tools for artisans?
One such chainsaw artist is the award winning Andy Maclachlan. Living in Scotland, Andy spent nearly 20 years as a chainsaw operator before discovering he had a natural ability for sculpture and “an affinity with the saw as an artist’s tool”.
Andy’s carvings are inspired mainly by wildlife while some more abstract works “may be a result of the insular world” he’s drawn into while sculpting. LINK, Via: Neatorama
"ChainsawCraft.com - Making an Eagle Sculpture"
This time Andy and his kids make a carving of an eagle.
Music for this video was composed by Andy, and the video was filmed and produced by Murdo Ross of DesigningScotland.com... LINK: Youtube
