Bridge Over Troubled Water - Gregorian Chant (HD)
♬ (HD) Bridge Over Troubled Water ~ Gregorian Chant ~ Created by Leroux
Bridge over Troubled Water is the title song of Simon & Garfunkel's final album together, released January 26, 1970. Simon wrote the song in the summer of 1969 and its recording process exposed many of the underlying tensions that eventually led to the breakup of the duo after the album's completion. Most notably, Paul Simon has repeatedly expressed regret that he insisted that Art Garfunkel sing this song as a solo, as it focused attention on Garfunkel and relegated Simon to a backing position. Garfunkel said that the moment when he performed it in Madison Square Garden in 1972 was "almost biblical".
Gregorian chant is the central tradition of Western plainchant, a form of monophonic liturgical chant in Western Christianity that accompanied the celebration of Mass and other ritual services. LINK: Youtube

Last Comic Standing's Mike DeStefano Dies
A sad—and too-soon—end to what was a notable comedy career.
Mike DeStefano, who mined material from his life as a former heroin junkie to become a finalist on last season's Last Comic Standing, has died, his rep confirmed.
According to his MySpace page, he was only 44.

"Mike had a lot of wisdom to share with the world from his own life lessons and he always did it with laughter and a smile," his publicist said in a statement, describing DeStefano as a "true gentleman, a great comic and a "fierce warrior."
Per Punchline Magazine, DeStefano suffered a massive heart attack late Sunday—a day before he was due to perform his gritty new one-man show, A Cherry Tree in the Bronx, at the Bananas Comedy Club in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. DeStafano was also scheduled to perform his act Wednesday at the Barrow Street Theater in New York City.
Born and raised in the Bronx, DeStefano gained a cult following for his frank and biting autobiographical humor, from his early years battling substance abuse and serving as a drug counselor to his wife's HIV diagnosis and ultimate death.
He was a regular on the Big Apple comedy circuit and appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and was a featured comic at HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal before nearly going the distance on NBC's hit reality series. The Legendary Winter Brothers
The legendary Johnny Winter and his equally epic younger brother, Edgar Winter, began performing together when they were just kids. Their first TV appearance was on a local children's television show in the Houston/Beaumont area when they were somewhere around 10 years old, strumming the ukelele and singing.
Both Winter brothers were born with albinism, and Johnny was cross-eyed. They were quite a sight. The Winter brothers really glow in those old pics.

Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers
Six drummers participate in a well planned musical attack in the suburbs. As an elderly couple leave their apartment the drummers take over. On everyday objects they give a concert in four movements: kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. The drummers perform on everything from dog dishes and slippers to toilet brush and microwave oven. The hidden music in the household objects is just waiting to be brought to life. LINK: Youtube
