Food artist Jojo Krang of the blog Eye Candy provides step-by-step instructions on how to paint a picture with chocolate. First you create a reverse image, then apply dark tones, midtones, and light tones, in that order, and then flip the product over.

Howth Beautiful Pictures

Howth is a small peninsula about 12 km north-east of Dublin. You can visit the Howth Castle Gardens, which cover 12 hectares of magnificent flora. The small port village is also very nice. You can make a wonderful trip by boat around the peninsula.

Howth is a small paradise near the sea!

A small village 20 minutes by train from downtown. Howth is located at the north Dublin on a small peninsula, it is busy every Sunday with a small market on the port. A real pleasure to go through this walk which mixes scents and colors.

You can have lunch near the water while watching the seals which float around the harbour. Far from everything, it feels like you are on holiday!

At Howth Harbour, a large dam with a lighthouse has been erected at the east. Walking on the long dam is highly recommended. Feel the ocean wind blowing on your face and let your hair rocked.

The sight is simply exceptional at Howth, green hills ending with a cliff, the beach at the other side and opposite an island. Far from all worries and preoccupations, a corner of paradise..

Vintage Japanese Two-Way Pictures

Pink Tentacle has a neat post about joge-e, or "two way pictures," produced for mass consumption in 19th century Japan:

This print by Kuniyoshi (c. 1852) depicts Hotei (Laughing Buddha) and Shoki (a character from the “Romance of the Three Kingdoms“). When viewed upside-down, Hotei becomes Asahina (a character from a popular novel of the time) and Shoki becomes Zhang Fei.

"Sky, Sunset, Clouds Pictures"

The color of the sky is a result of diffuse sky radiation. On a sunny day the Earth sky usually looks as a blue gradient - dark in the zenith, light near the horizon.
Sunset is the time at which the sun disappears below the horizon in the west. The sunset is often more brightly coloured than the sunrise because there is more dust at the end of the day than at its beginning.

UV Absorbing Filters
Ultraviolet filters, sometimes called sky filters, provide a basic reduction in the UV light found especially at high altitudes where the UV-absorbing atmosphere is thinner. UV light causes a blue colour cast in photographs or loss of detail, particularly when photographing over long distances in either colour or black-and-white. Haze caused by UV light should not be confused with haze caused by airborne particles such as smog. The latter absorbs visible light as well as UV light and is not removed by a UV filter. Ultraviolet filters are made with a variety of absorption levels with some tinted to give added warmth and better colours. UV filters may be left on the lens as protection against dust, moisture, scratches, fingerprints and breakage. LINK

"Colorful Glass Art " by Dale Chihuly

Considered the greatest living master of glass-working, Dale Chihuly’s glass creations show us just that. From warm yellow and bold reds to oceanic teals and deep sky blues, the spectrum of his work is boundless. Looking at Chihuly’s collection of Basket creations and Seaforms is enough to show us his extensive colour palette, while his work plays at the pre-conceived notions we have of what glass is.
But it’s not like Chihuly to work on a small scale. With dozens of installations across the country, he’s made wonderfully vivid designs to temporarily stand in the famed botanical gardens. Part of the series Glass and Gardens visited New York’s Botanical Gardens last year and the glass creations range from floral look-alikes to dazzling sun-inspired chandeliers. LINK,
