At My Wedding Twitterring and Facebooking at the Altar

This was just done to be funny - we really don't Facebook THAT often :).

I have a lot of family scattered around the country and we all use Facebook a lot to keep in touch. So when Tracy and I were engaged, most of my family found out via Facebook because we updated our statuses.

I surprised not only my guests, but also Tracy by pulling out my phone and posting on Facebook and Twitter from the altar during out wedding.

I had her phone ready in my pocket, so when she asked for it I could hand it to her. No one knew about this except the minister, and myself. LINK: Youtube

Salvador Dali

Gala and Eluard divorced in 1932 and she married Dali on August 30, 1934 in a civil ceremony at the municipal council headquarters in Paris’ XIV arrondissement. A church service waited another 26 years — until after Eluard died, thus voiding any reluctance to offend the Catholic Church.

Paul Eluard, who had first “introduced” Dali to Gala by showing him photos of her posing in the nude, was invited to attend the 1934 ceremony but declined. Biographer Ian Gibson surmised that, sharing the surrealist penchant for “free love”, Eluard would have found the rites trite and bourgeois.

In attendance as official witnesses, though, were the painters Yves Tanguy and André Gaston, the latter a resident of the building, at 7 Rue Gauguet, where Dali had his studio. LINK

The Office spoofs Minn. wedding dance

The Minnesota couple who gained super stardom on YouTube earlier this year when their wedding entrance dance went viral. Now the video has more than 27 million hits. Well their wedding dance fame hit a pretty awesome high: The Office spoofed it during Jim and Pam's wedding episode last night. Kind of saw it coming, but it was still epic.
