Are you in the Crowd?

Brazilian artist Guilherme Kramer has spent a year hand-painting faces onto office walls. It obviously took him a lot of time and dedication to finalize the piece, but the end result is really good!

A new sand art from Ilana Yahav for 2010 - "Our Man is sitting in his office, worn down by the weight of life in this hustling, bustling city... He dreams of the simple life and nature, peace and tranquility. One man's short dream and then . . . back to reality." Music by - Georges Chatelain

A Peek Inside Lego Headquarters

Hello, dream office. Employees who work at Lego HQ get to enjoy a slide inside of their already sleek-and-modern digs. I imagine their day-to-day goes something like this: “Hey, Bob. Meet me in the conference room for a very important meeting in 30 seconds — just take the slide!” LINK

Artwork Made With Office Supplies

For most of us, the materials scattered throughout our offices, whether they be Post-its, pencils, paper clips or staples, are mere tools of the trade.

But clearly we're just not being very creative - some people consider them inspiration for art. Office supplies can do wonders when they fall into the right hands. LINK: The Presurfer

An Enviable Post Office in Ghana

"QOUTE" This is music made by four postal workers as they cancel postage! When I listen carefully, I think I can actually hear the spring mechanisms as the stamps hit the ink. I love it as an example of music turning what is normally seen as a boring, repetitive task into something this joyful.

"QUOTE" The song was originally recorded in 1975 at the University of Ghana by James Koetting and appeared on a cd accompanying the book Worlds of Music, but you can download the whole clip here. Thanks to Bernie Krause and Anthropologist Steven Feld for helping me track this one down. LINK: Boingboing, Via: Youtube

If you go to the youtube link you can read more on how they did the music.

Facebook Headquarters by Studio O+A

Here’s some more information from Studio O+A:

Facebook Headquarters
Palo Alto, California

Employees of Facebook recently moved to a new headquarters that facilitates interaction and connection, reflecting the company’s mission as a social networking website provider.

Formerly a laboratory facility for high-tech manufacturer Agilent Technologies, the 150,000-square-foot structure at Palo Alto’s Stanford Research Park brings together more than 700 employees originally scattered throughout 10 locations in and around downtown Palo Alto.

Because the new facility houses employees coming from various locations, the company wanted to maintain each division’s distinct identity. The design takes its inspiration from the patchwork nature of Facebook users and employees, bringing together seemingly disparate elements to form a cohesive pattern and using color and interior spacing to create neighborhoods within the open plan space. The Office spoofs Minn. wedding dance

The Minnesota couple who gained super stardom on YouTube earlier this year when their wedding entrance dance went viral. Now the video has more than 27 million hits. Well their wedding dance fame hit a pretty awesome high: The Office spoofed it during Jim and Pam's wedding episode last night. Kind of saw it coming, but it was still epic.

Check it out below, but hold off if you are a real Office fan and didn't catch it last night. The whole episode is great. LINK

Considering how many people spend the lion's share of their daily life inside an office, it's surprising how few of us have taken steps to make our office setups more inspiring.

Website Ahoys explores seven workspaces so well kitted-out and stylised that they could feature in an episode of 'Pimp My Office.' LINK

Office Snapshots blog, like its name suggests, is all about where you work. Well, if you work in a tech company or for a successful blog (not in a dumpy ol’ warehouse like me!).

Here are some fun photo galleries of the offices of Digg, Apple, Adobe, and even Om Malik’s neat tech blog GigaOM. Via: Neatorama
