The Formation of a Lightning Bolt
(YouTube link)
This video of a lightning bolt was filmed at 9,000 frames per second. The entire minute-and-a-half video covers less than two seconds of real time. Is this cool or what? -Via: Dr. Isis, Via: Neatorama

People in Yosemite: A TimeLapse Study
"QUOTE" Yosemite is bigger than Rhode Island at almost 800,000 acres, but it receives about 3.5 million visitors each year, and most of them spend time in Yosemite Valley. This project was shot back in 2005 after purchasing a Sony Z1U. This was my first HD project (ok, fine, HDV) and I spent about a week in Yosemite during the busy month of July. The footage was all shot in real time, and then sped up in post.
The music is from Peter Gabriel’s “Passion” (a.k.a. the soundtrack from Martin Scorcese’s “The Last Temptation of Christ”). LINK: Vimeo

"Rag Tag Flag" – Dreadlock Flip
"QUOTE"- My friend T.Bias, a composer and experimental media artist who also happens to have spectacular hair, says,
I flipped my dreadlocks in front of an exceptional high-speed camera shooting on the low end of its abilities; a mere 6,800fps. k0re happened to be there to record the event in real time which is great for comparison. I edited it to my song, "Rag Tag Flag", from my Hooks'n'Heels project. LINK, Via: Boingboing
