"The Grand Rapids LipDub Video was filmed May 22nd, with 5,000 people, and involved a major shutdown of downtown Grand Rapids, which was filled with marching bands, parades, weddings, motorcades, bridges on fire, and helicopter take offs. It is the largest and longest LipDub video, to date.
This video was created as an official response to the Newsweek article calling Grand Rapids a "dying city." We disagreed strongly, and wanted to create a video that encompasses the passion and energy we all feel is growing exponentially, in this great city. Video footage of a big cat species caught on camera in the wild in Borneo has been made public for the first time.
Scientists came across the Sundaland clouded leopard while working in the Dermakot Forest Reserve in Malaysia.
The elusive species, discovered to be a distinct type of big cat only two years ago, is one of the least known in the world. It is thought to have been filmed only once before although the footage has never been released.
In 2008 the Sundaland clouded leopard, known as Neofelis diardi borneensis on Borneo and Neofelis diardi diardi on Sumatra, was classified as a separate species from its close continental cousin Neofelis nebulosa, because of significant genetic differences between the two. Both Bornean and Sumatran subspecies are classified as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List. LINK, Via: LiveLeak

Scientists witnessed the eruption of the deepest underwater volcano and caught the entire event on film for the first time - complete with molten lava and sulfur smoke clouds.
The volcanic eruption was filmed by a U.S. robotic submarine more than 1.2 kilometers (4,000 feet) below the surface of the Pacific Ocean near Samoa during an expedition in May this year. Scientists have been trying for 25 years to witness an underwater volcanic eruption, but this is the first time it has ever been caught on film. LINK: The Presurfer

At Rotterdam Central Station (NL) a "digital" clock was shown for 24 hours from 27 November to 28 November, which was meticulously kept by a total of 36 workers. Each minute was carefully adjusted.

The BBC posted two videos of golden eagles hunting baby reindeer in Finland. They don't have an embed option, so you'll have to follow the link to watch. It's the first time this has ever been filmed. In fact, the native Sami people have been saying for years that eagle on reindeer violence was going on, but most experts didn't believe them until scientist Harri Norberg from the University of Lapland gathered forensic (and, now, this video) evidence for his Ph.D. thesis.
