If you look up in a tree, you might see a spider web that spans a distance of several feet or more. How is the spider able to reach between this distance? How do they do that?

Some kids just get a little over excited when the snow begins to fall. So it was with this little guy who - much to the bemusement of his penguin friends - just had to jump about and dance when the snow began to come down.
In the movie, Mumble was an outcast from his peers because he can't sing to save his life. However, he is soon back in favor when he discovered his ability to dance.
This little guy seems to have the same idea - except his friends seem to think that he is something of an idiot by their non-reaction!
Hey kid, don't worry what the rest of the world thinks - just enjoy yourself! LINK, Via: Youtube

Lost his arms in an accident at age 10, Liu Wei from Beijing never gives up living strong. He managed to do everything with his feet and started to learn to play piano at age 19. His dream is to become a musician. He is now 22 and just won the China's Got Talent Show on Oct. 10, 2010. In the final, he played piano and sang the song "You Are Beautiful", perhaps his vocal is not the best render of this song, but the power and inspiration of his zest for life won him the final. Bravo! Liu Wei's motto is,"I have two options - I can die as fast as possible, or I can live a brilliant life. And I chose the latter." LINK: Youtube
Sandal company Teva has a new product coming out in May called the Illum. It's basically a super comfy waterproof microsuede sandal with tiny LED lamps in the middle of each foot that lights up the path you're walking on. Pretty neat! I would have loved to have worn these when I went camping on the beach in Hawaii last year. The lights detach from the shoe and clip into a keychain, too, so you can use them to look at things other than what's in front of your feet. Available this spring for $60. LINK: Boingboing
This looks like a pile of river stones, but this mat is soft and warm to put your feet on. The hand-felted “stones” are made of wool! Link, -Via: Unique Daily, Via: Neatorama
There is no creature on earth quite like the Blue Footed Booby - at least when it comes to looking as if you have made a mistake when painting your walls that lovely light blue. Another native of the Galapagos, the BFB (as it perhaps should be known) is known too for its elaborate dancing. Lauren Axelrod
takes a look at this remarkable bird.
