Massachusetts is a state with a rich history and that includes the castles located in the Bay State. Some of these castles were built by the richest people in Massachusetts while other castles were built by cities in the state for various reasons.

A couple of these castles are on college campuses and one serves as a dorm for 120 students.

One castle in Massachusetts was built by an inventor who held over 400 patents and was mentored by both Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell and his father ran most of Cecil Rhodes mines in Africa.
