Abandoned Army: 200 tanks left in Russian woods
The fate of 200 tanks left in woods in the Urals, is raising further questions from the public over mismanagement in the Russian army. This amateur footage reportedly shows locals with unrestricted access to the tanks, walking freely among them, and even climbing inside them. And that's despite claims by the authorities they're being guarded around the clock, and will be relocated next month. Locals say the Ministry of Defence brought the tanks to the woods in November. Russian Sand Sculptures
These days there was a sand sculptures contest in Moscow. Some of the most cool looking ones you can find in this post.
The organizers didn’t realize that Moscow is not the best place to held such an event because of unstable spring climate. Usually those contests are being conducted in the regions where the rains are not so often, but in this place and this time of the years rains just can go daily, so it’s big pity they didn’t last long. A Motorcycle With a Tank Engine
The Panzerbike is a German-built motorcycle with the engine of a T-55 tank inside. That’s a diesel V12 with 620 HP. The bike is 19 feet long, 9 feet wide, and weighs nearly 5 tons. Actually, it’s more like a tractor than a motorcycle, since the sidecar is built-in and it takes two people to steer. Still, Tilo Niebel and his friends at the Harzer Bike company created quite an impressive piece of machinery.

Aerodynamic tests of the full-scale Buran analogue began in 1984. This aero-Buran was worn out after 24 test flights and would not fly again. The last of these aerodynamic test flights was in April 1988. LINK
