Disney cartoon of Salvador Dali

Disney asked Dalí to draw a cartoon, which would be the embodiment of the idea of surrealism, but having been so unusually ordinary viewer, that closed the show and not scooped right up to 2003. Film duration of any incomplete 7 minutes can not be found in less important needs and that its complete form. This - the best option. And I want to note that while the uniformity of muslin ladies Disney heroine here has turned well before the great, that is breathtaking. Collaboration with Dali Walt Disney Studios began in 1940 with the animated film "Fantasia» (Fantasia). In 1946, Salvador Dali and Walt Disney signed a deal to create a surreal cartoon Destino (Destiny) explanation of the Mexican ballad Armando Dominguez. Because of the conflicts and problems finanasovyh he was never completed. In 2003 he was re-designed by and storyboards, which were kept in the archives of Roy Disney.

Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ Painting Made from 7,067 Falling Dominoes

Industrious domino artist FlippyCat recreated Vincent van Gough’s famous Starry Night painting using 7,067 dominoes stacked vertically and horizontally to create an impressive chain reaction that seems to sprawl in the same direction as the artist’s brushstrokes. The video above contains some pretty heartbreaking outtakes as well. See also his Domona Lisa from 2007.

Miniature Worlds By Takanori Aiba

You may remember John Farrier’s post about the Bonsai Tree Castle, which was created by Japanese artist Takanori Aiba. Well Takanori’s art certainly doesn’t stop there, and would you believe that the rest of his miniature worlds (structural sculptures) are even more fantastic than the tree castle?! With a style ripped straight from mythology and every minor detail accounted for, these tiny kingdoms look like a great place for fairy folk to call home.

Fantastic Sculptures By Odani Motohiko

These massive, milk white sculptures by Japanese artist Odani Motohiko have an ethereal nature about them, with wispy details and fantastic subjects to match. They have the appearance of fine porcelain, which adds to the delicate nature of these works, and would probably look even more impressive in a room where the walls are painted black, so they would really stand out. Hit the Hi Fructose link below and take a tour of Odani’s latest showing at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco-it’s almost like being there in person, even though it really isn’t the same at all! Georgia Russell: Art created with a Scalpel

Scottish-born, Paris-based Artist Georgia Russell is well-versed in manipulating two-dimensional prints into highly textured images with the aid of a knife. Utilizing the sharp edge of a scalpel, her body of work adds a fleeting layer organic curves and scores that often move in a gesture similar to a feather or fur. What could easily be a superfluous effect offers instead additional emotions and narratives to the prints, fully responding to the movement of the image being captured. Some pieces include two individual prints that have been entangled within one another. A play of solids and voids as well as content and proportions, the wispy creations explore the notion of an unseen network of energetic motions while illustrating the transient quality of a single moment. Takeshi Miyakawa: Candelier

Candelier', created by japanese-born, New York-based designer Takeshi Miyakawa, is a chandelier composed entirely out of wax, burning itself into nonexistence during normal use. Miyakawa conceptualized the work from his use of artist Nova Jiang's 'Creatomatic' software program. The application randomly juxtaposes images of two everyday objects, promoting free association and creativity: 'The 'Creatomatic' uses the technique of surprise to overcome habitual ways of thinking and short-circuit rational control.'
