A Rose in the Snow
A Rose in the Snow.
We would suggest that when the planned events of 'our' Life are temporarily suspended or brought to a standstill, in the Silence of Being and the ceasing of 'expected' activity there may arise a Rose ( a happening of great value, a gift of beauty), to be realised or perceived.

Snow Present in 49 of the 50 U.S. States
After big snow and ice events in the Southeast, Plains, and Midwest last week, 49 out of the 50 states currently have snow on the ground – yes, even Hawaii, where snow falls in Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea all winter.
Thanks a lot, Florida. We almost had a perfect record. But you just had to go and be different, didn’t ya?

Happy Feet LIVES!
Some kids just get a little over excited when the snow begins to fall. So it was with this little guy who - much to the bemusement of his penguin friends - just had to jump about and dance when the snow began to come down.
In the movie, Mumble was an outcast from his peers because he can't sing to save his life. However, he is soon back in favor when he discovered his ability to dance.
This little guy seems to have the same idea - except his friends seem to think that he is something of an idiot by their non-reaction!
Hey kid, don't worry what the rest of the world thinks - just enjoy yourself! LINK, Via: Youtube

Fordson Snow Devil
(YouTube link)
This snow vehicle is an example of a screw-propelled vehicle.
In the 1920s the Armstead Snow Motor was developed. When this was used to convert a Fordson tractor into a screw-propelled vehicle with a single pair of cylinders, the combination became known as the Fordson Snow Devil. A film was made to show the capabilities of the vehicle as well as a Chevrolet car fitted with an Armstead Snow Motor.[6] The film clearly shows that the vehicle copes well in snow. Steering was effected by having each cylinder receive power from a separate clutch which, depending on the position of the steering gear, engages and disengages; this results in a vehicle that is relatively maneuverable. The promotional film shows the Armstead snow motor hauling 20 tons of logs.

Functional LEGO Snow Crawler

LEGO artist Peer Kreuger made the Stilzkin Indrik, a remarkably strong and agile vehicle that can pull heavy loads over snow. Could any reader translate the Russian text for us?

World’s Largest Snow Drawing
These odd circles may look like messages from aliens or the humorous graffiti of penguins, but it’s actually the ephemeral snow and ice art of earth artist Jim Denevan, best known for his temporary beach masterpieces. The snow circles are somewhat of a departure from Denevan’s usual medium, but he’s no stranger to large-scale natural art. This nine-square-mile snow drawing currently holds the record as the world’s largest snow drawing; the record before that belonged to a sand drawing created in the Nevada desert by Denevan.
Jim Denevan’s art is all about impermanence. His large-scale artworks are meant to exist only for very short periods of time, after which they will be washed away by waves, wind and weather. This massive art was created on Siberia’s frozen Lake Baikal, the world’s largest lake. LINK: The Worlds Biggest
