Ominous Abandoned Six Flags Is a Few Zombie Hordes Short of the Apocalypse

A video adventurer was daring enough to infiltrate this abandoned Six Flags outside New Orleans—derelict since Hurricane Katrina—and record footage. The environs are haunting, to say the least—and we watched with the expectation of some zombie cameos.

The footage is, beyond being the picture perfect backdrop for a post-apocalyptic flick, an eery reminder of the post-storm destruction that has yet to be mended. And some of it won't be—this Six Flags won't ever be salvaged, scheduled for demolition in January of next year. [Reddit], Via: Gizmodo, Via: Youtube

Bulldog Loves Skateboarding

YouTube Link

In 2007, Tillman the bulldog amazed the world with his video of him riding a skateboard around a park, just as naturally as you please. Apparently the dog is still refining his moves, via Tony Hawk’s video game. (Obviously, he’s not playing the game, but he’s definitely into it.) More videos of Tillman snowboarding, surfing, and of course, skateboarding can be found here. Tillman’s website. Via: Neatorama

Victoria’s Way Indian Sculpture Park

An eccentric garden of Indian sculptures in the green of Ireland.

The unusual spiritual visions of an Irishman were created in stone by craftsmen in Mahabalipuram, India, and now populate a sculpture park in County Wicklow, Ireland.

On 22 acres of grounds, the park includes a series of dancing Ganesh figures, Shiva and other Hindu deities. It also includes more bizarre sculptures of a skeletal Buddha-like figure, an enormous disembodied finger, and a sculpture called "The Split Man" which shows a figure ripping itself in two, representing "the mental state of the dysfunctional human".

Intended to represent the spiritual progression to enlightenment, the collection of 14 statues took 20 years to complete. LINK
