“India’s richest man, and Forbes’s fourth richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has built the world’s most expensive house in Mumbai. It is estimated to be worth $1 billion. The lavish building– named Antilia, after the mythical island– has 27 stories, is 567-feet high and has 37,000 square meters of floor space — more than the Palace of Versailles. It contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, at least one swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges and a 50-seater cinema. There are three helicopter pads on the roof and a car park for 160 vehicles on the ground floors. It’s obviously quite a job keeping all this running smoothly, so the house, if you can call it that, also boasts a staff of 600. And all this for just Ambani, his wife and their three children to enjoy.” LINK

World’s Most Expensive House Built
World’s Most Expensive Monopoly Set
“The world’s most expensive incarnation of the Monopoly board game is headed to Wall Street. An 18-karat gold version of the famous Parker Brothers board game will be on display beginning Friday at the Museum of American Finance. The gold and jewel-encrusted Monopoly is estimated to be worth roughly $2 million. The set of dice alone is valued at $10,000, with 42 full-cut diamonds for the number dots. All of the properties that make up the game board are also set in gems, with some 165 gemstones in total. The ‘Chance’ and ‘Community Chest’ cards are photo-etched. The notion of creating a blinged-out version of the board game came about in 1988, when San Francisco jeweler Sidney Mobell heard about a Monopoly tournament taking place in London. He called Parker Brothers (now part of Hasbro Inc.) for permission and then set to work creating the golden game, working every day for a year straight.” w/ photos. LINK

Sidi Ergo has pictures and descriptions of the most expensive bicycles ever made, including models plated in gold and encrusted with diamonds. This model, the Koga Kimera, isn’t quite so luxurious. But developed by UK bike-maker Koga for Dutch Olympic competitor Theo Bos Koga, it’s priced at almost one million dollars. The Kimera is said to have the lowest wind resistance of any bicycle ever made.

Watches More Expensive Than A Ferrari
"The Patek Caliber 89 - $5,120,000"
Most of these watches are more complicated than college calculus and have more history than you could learn in a lifetime. You might even need an engineering degree and an instructional tome to figure out how they work. Regardless, all these watches (for one reason or another) are ridiculously cool and absurdly expensive. Sell the Ferrari, liquidate the stocks, and pick up one of these bad-ass timekeeping devices.
So what makes this watch worth $5.12mil? For starters, it is the most complicated watch on the planet with 33 complications. Essentially, it requires a degree in mechanical engineering to understand, but suffice it to say it has everything but the kitchen sink. It also took more time to design than you spent in college (including those extra years “studying” chemistry). LINK, Via: Neatorama

World's most expensive Rolls-Royce up for auction
A bespoke, one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce built in 1934 for an Indian Maharaja is set to become the world's most expensive car.
Part of famed Rolls-Royce collector Hans-Gunther Zach's private collection, the luxury car built for the Maharaja of Rajkot and named the 'Star of India' is expected to fetch up to £8.5 million at auction.
Previously the crown jewel of Zach's Rolls-Royce museum in Muhlheim in Germany, the Star will be offered up for bids on September 15th.
When sold the 1934 Phantom II 40/50 HP Continental 'All-Weather Convertible' is expected to eclipse the sale of a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa that sold at auction in May for £7.2 million.
One of the Star's unique features is extra headlights that track the steering wheel and therefore follow the road.
This technology was a forerunner of today's 'adaptive-curve lights' found on modern saloon cars such as BMWs and Mercedes. LINK
