Alleged 2,000-Foot Hot Wheels Track

(Video Link)
This video allegedly shows a Hot Wheels toy track that is fully two thousand feet long. Watch it stretch all over a house, down sidewalks, and through backyards. Oh, to have such a toy when I was a boy!

It was produced on behalf of a foundation that funds research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that effects mainly young boys.

Drivers jarred by potholes file damage claims with state

Pothole damage typically is covered under an auto-insurance policy's collision provisions, said Mitch Wilson, a spokesman for the Ohio Insurance Institute. But most damage falls below the standard $500 deductible, he said.

Ohio Court of Claims forms are available online at www.cco.state.oh.us, and the state transportation department allows people to report potholes on its website.

Neither office publicizes the state's obligation to pay for pothole damage, though. A number of people who have filed reports said tow-truck drivers and mechanics advised them to file. LINK

Mariah Carey's custom Porsche Cayenne: DUB Exclusive

Nick Cannon teamed up with DUB Magazine to help build his wife a custom Porsche Cayenne, which was one of his many gifts to her for the superstar's 40th birthday. Nick worked directly with our paint specialists to come up with a completely one of a kind "Mariah Carey Pink" color for the Porsche. He chose 22″ TIS Modular wheels which were painted with a combination of flat and semi-gloss black with color-matched "Mariah Carey Pink" accents and paired with a grippy set of Nitto NT 420S tires. The interior was also restitched to include pink piping and stitching on black leather and suede seats with her initials "MCC" embroidered on the headrests. To finish it off, Nick chose top of the line Alpine components to satisfy all of Mariah's car audio needs. LINK: Youtube

Homebuilt 8-Wheeled Sports Car

We’re not ones to suggest there’s such a thing as too much when it comes to homebuilding vehicles. But an eight-wheel ‘sports’ car with dual Mazda rotary engines, Jaguar differentials and a rat’s nest of unfinished business? Someone cry uncle. This is a car that is hard to describe. It is design to be a sports car with 8 wheels. The body is custom made of fiberglass. The frame is steel tubing. There is no interior in it. The detentions are 204in long x 81in wide x 40in tall.” w/ photos. LINK

Paper Trails: Auto-Scrolling 1930s In-Car Analog GPS

The strange wrist-mounted scrolling map system of 1927 wasn’t the world’s last foray into analog GPS. This in-car navigation system sported a similar scrolling map setup, but with one notable difference: the map was actually wired to the car so that the map would scroll at a speed that matched the speed of the car’s movement.

Far from today’s GPS gadgets that track your movements from space, this 1932 invention required the driver to pull over and reload the map if he changed routes or turned. Still, it was a novel invention in a time when a huge map unfolded on the dashboard was the previously highest-tech navigation method available. LINK

Rock N Roller MultiCart R2 Micro

What is most useful and unique about this adaptable rolling cart is that it folds to a relatively compact size that anyone can easily fit into a normal car while being able to unfold and expand to carry a large number of boxes.

Being able to put into a long horizontal position allows the Rock N Roller carts to carry unusual loads that might not stack in a stable fashion on a typical upright dolly.

[Rock N Roller offer this same design in multiple sizes. They seem to be a favorite among touring musicians.--OH]
