Wave Rock

Wave Rock is an unusual landform in southwestern Australia. It looks like a giant wave of water that is about to crash. This feature was caused by the erosion of soft rock below the harder top. It measures 14 meters high and 110 meters long.

Living Rock: Massive Monuments Sculpted in Situ
"Crazy Horse Memorial, South Dakota"
Although the USA is a comparative newcomer to massive sculptures which have been carved in situ, Mount Rushmore is among the most famous statues in the world and will no doubt withstand the millennia as it was designed to do. When finished, however, the Crazy Horse Memorial should be the largest sculpture in the world and stand over one hundred and seventy two meters (that’s five hundred and sixty three feet). In other words, it will be almost ten times taller than each of the Presidents’ heads at Rushmore. Started in 1948, it remains unfinished and there is no date which has been fixed for its completion either. The face, however, was completed in 1998. LINK

Musical Stones of Skiddaw in North Cumbria, England

For centuries, man had made music out of nature. The Musical Stones of Skiddaw are one such example, where there the ringing of the rocks creates the most melodious of sounds. Over the years, the rocks have been incorporated into a large musical instrument, that for some of us, mimics the xylophones we used to play in some of our first music classes as children.
According to the Musical Stones of Skiddaw Blog, the updated instrument is a 14 foot-long 1.5 ton stone xylophone made in 1827 by Keswick stonemason Joseph Richardson out of rare 'hornfels' rock found between the mountains Skiddaw and Blencathra in North Cumbria, UK.

Rock the Casbah with a Glass Guitar
Other people have made guitar sculptures out of glass before, but glasscutter by day, rock drummer by night Brian Chivers of BC Glass Studio went one step further: he actually created a glass guitar (yes, all glass, except for the strings) that can actually be played.
It took Brian 15 years to figure out how to make it (and about 725 hours to actually make one) … and get this: he doesn’t even know how to play a guitar!
