World’s first ever pedal-powered cycle?

Historian Xu Quan Long claims this wooden cycle is is a recreation of the world’s first ever cycle. He says it was in use over 2000 years before the first wooden bicycle.
Xu said he stumbled across the discovery while studying the works of legendary ancient Chinese inventor Lu Ban, who was born more than 2,500 years ago.
Lu is credited with inventing devastating military weapons like a counterweighted ‘cloud ladder’ for storming castle defences, and a ‘wooden bird’ that could supposedly glide for three days without landing.

Wooden Stair Tower

“When David Spearman bought his new house, he thought the bottom of his garden would be perfect for a vegetable patch. The only snag was that it happened to be up a sheer 50ft cliff. Undeterred, he took inspiration from the home improvement shows he loves to watch on TV and built a wooden tower with six flights of stairs to scale the chalk cliff. The $15,000, 90-step tower, which took six months to build, not only allows the IT worker and his wife Moira to reach the end of their garden, but the top also doubles as a patio with decking, a table, four benches and a superb view of the River Medway.” LINK, Via: Unique Daily

Functional Wooden Car is Half Convertible, Half Coupe

Not your average wooden car, this one is two-faced, boasting both convertible and coupe (saloon-inspired) styled halves. It took a Ukranian designer -- who gave up his job and two others cars -- approximately 1.5-years to build. Underneath the hood, you'll find a 100hp engine. Click here for picture Gallery. LINK
