Over 80,000 Dominoes - "Around the World" - Screenlink

Uploaded by IIIIIDominoIIIII on Sep 22, 2011
For all of you who are wondering why there are countries missing: This video was a community project and every registered user who wanted to had the chance to participate in it. The only thing you had to do was build a little domino run showing a country you like. We didn't tell the people which country to and left everything free to the creativity of the people participating in the video. Of course that means that there are countries missing - and of course it also means that there are countries that are in the video more than once. Sorry for that. We hope that you will still enjoy watching the video.

Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ Painting Made from 7,067 Falling Dominoes

Industrious domino artist FlippyCat recreated Vincent van Gough’s famous Starry Night painting using 7,067 dominoes stacked vertically and horizontally to create an impressive chain reaction that seems to sprawl in the same direction as the artist’s brushstrokes. The video above contains some pretty heartbreaking outtakes as well. See also his Domona Lisa from 2007.

Insane Dominoes Maze

Domino Day is a world record attempt for the highest number of toppling domino stones, organized each year in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, there will be no Domino Day 2010 because of the financial crisis. Sponsors were very interested but their available sponsor budgets were not sufficient to produce the TV show this year.

Instead, enjoy this insane dominoes maze made last year to promote the ImagineRIT Innovation and Creativity Festival from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Dominoes Everywhere

"QUOTE" This video was created for Imagine RIT, an annual festival at Rochester Institute of Technology focused on creativity and innovation of its students, faculty, and staff. It was created by myself and two coworkers.

The cardboard man at the beginning who kicks the first domino is RIT President Bill Destler, who started the annual festival at RIT in 2008. LINK

The Fairest Domino of Them All

Alex posted the new world record for domino toppling not too long ago. I don’t think this one breaks any records, but it is quite original - it tells the story of Snow White in domino form. LINK, VIA: Youtube

"The Domino Effect"

Here's a wild three minute clip of an Oblivion Rube Goldberg machine done up with books in lieu of dominos. Definitely not in-game, but still dang impressive. Via: Youtube and TechEBlog
