"Classical Medley" By Buddy Greene (HARMONICA)
Buddy Greene plays the harmonica unlike your grandfather did, if you close your eyes you wouldn't recognize it as harmonica. Very innovative!
He also can sing, play the guitar, and he writes music (he wrote the music for 'Mary Did You Know') but he's most known for his Harmonica. Not to mention he is a really funny, cool guy.

New Legless Lizard Species Found in the Brazilian Cerrado
Scientists from the Conservation International and Brazilian universities found 14 new species in the protected wooded grassland of Brazil’s Cerrado. Amongst the new species is this legless lizard of the genus Bachia:
This species of lizard of the genus Bachia is one of the new species discovered during the expedition. Although there are other species of the genus in the Cerrado (almost all discovered and described only recently), this new species has only been recorded in the Ecological Station. The absence of legs and the sharply pointed snout help in locomotion over the surface layer of sandy soil, predominating in all the Jalapao, formed by the natural erosion of the escarpments of the Serra Geral plateaus.

Mitch Hedberg
Mitchell Lee Hedberg (February 24, 1968 – March 29, 2005) was an American stand-up comedian known for his surreal humor and unconventional comedic delivery. His routines featured elocutive but often short, sometimes one-line, observational comedy, mixed with absurd and paraprosdokian elements as well as non sequiturs. Hedberg's comedy and on-stage persona gained him a cult following, with audience members sometimes shouting out the punchlines to his jokes before he could finish them.
Early in the morning on March 30, 2005, Mitch Hedberg was found dead in a New Jersey hotel room, reportedly from heart failure. He was 37 years old. His death was first announced by Howard Stern on his morning talk show and later confirmed by the Saint Paul Pioneer Press from his home town of St. Paul, Minnesota. Hedberg had reportedly been preparing for his first HBO special.
The specific cause of his heart failure remains unknown. He was born with a heart defect for which he received extensive treatment as a child, and the effect of drugs on this condition has been cited as a possible cause of death.

Coffin Couches
Our niche happens to be 18 gauge steel coffins which we collected from local funeral homes primarily in Southern California. It is a health and safety law that funeral homes cannot resell used coffins to the general public. We approached funeral directors with the attitude of recycling.
These coffins are not used for burial due to slight cosmetic inconsistencies. They are reconfigured and modified resulting in a finished product - a unique one a kind coffin couch. LINK

From tree furniture designs to unchecked acts of nature here are 25 examples of the amazing malleability of trees.

Elephant photographers
Filmmaker John Downer turned a bunch o elephants into walking cameras and used them to capture scenes of the jungle:
He fixed webcams to four elephants. One carried a "trunk-cam" - a device resembling a huge log concealing a camera which could be held in its trunk and dangled close to the ground.
Another had a "tusk-cam" hooked over its tusk. The elephants moved so steadily that the images are pin-sharp. Other log-cams were left on the forest floor.

The World’s Most Dangerous Bird
Don’t try to make friends with a cassowary! The Guinness Book of World Records named it the world’s most dangerous bird.
The Cassowary lives in the rain forests of Australia and New Guinea and are actually pretty shy animals if undisturbed, but if you get to close and it thinks you’re a threat you could receive a bone-breaking kick or get sliced by its dagger-like sharp claws. During WWII, soldiers stationed in New Guinea were warned to stay away from these birds, but some of them still became victims.

Isabel Samaras: Painter of Enigmatic Stories
Born in New York, Isabel Samaras’ a painter/illustrator with a difference: she’s an ‘enigmatic storyteller who uses paint instead of words’. Her paintings submerge you into a multi-layered world: a world that echos forgotten parables from bygone eras using characters that have their own (modern) mythologies. You’ll find characters from 70s sitcoms, in particular from popular TV shows like “The Avengers,” “The Addams Family,” “Star Trek,” “Bewitched,” “Gilligan’s Island,” “I Dream of Jeannie,” “The Munsters” and “The Six Million Dollar Man.” These characters (and more) are re-cast with pop culture icons and classic works of fine art for a contemporary spin. Beyond television and the master paintings, Isabel pulls influences from horror movies, Las Vegas lifestyles, and Mexican calendar art into her projects. LINK
Eric White’s Disturbingly Beautiful Paintings
Eric’s painting skills are truly unbelievable to say the least. His work transcends time, reality, science and logic. It is rich in content and is visually mind blowing. He finds inspiration in metaphysics, with trace hints of iconic pop culture of years past. - Manuel Bello.
Brooklyn-based painter Eric White creates “traditional based” imagery from an unusual approach to figuration. White references found imagery (particularly from 40s era Hollywood) in works that are thought-provoking, beautifully rendered and also disturbing on many different levels. This approach enables the artist to tap into realities and dimensions that exist beyond the edge of our perception; in a world in which movie stars, political figures, and ordinary people are transformed: stretched and distorted and placed in bizarre landscapes. In all his creations White employs a meticulous mix of hyper-realism and surrealism to make his dark dreams. LINK
