What shall we name this odd undersea creature? How about P. areidolia?

Cameras aboard JAMSTEC's Hyper-Dolphin ROV have captured footage of something strange lurking on the floor of Sagami Bay, southwest of Tokyo.

Shrimp Surprise

Life flourishes in the strangest places on earth. From the YouTube link:

At a depth of 600 feet beneath the West Antarctic ice sheet, a small shrimp-like creature managed to brighten up an otherwise gray polar day in late November 2009. This critter is a three-inch long Lyssianasid amphipod found beneath the Ross Ice Shelf, about 12.5 miles away from open water. NASA scientists were using a borehole camera to look back up towards the ice surface when they spotted this pinkish-orange creature swimming beneath the ice.

Glass Frog

The Happy Feet of the Blue Footed Booby

There is no creature on earth quite like the Blue Footed Booby - at least when it comes to looking as if you have made a mistake when painting your walls that lovely light blue. Another native of the Galapagos, the BFB (as it perhaps should be known) is known too for its elaborate dancing. Lauren Axelrod

Pebble toad's rock and roll life

When confronted by a predator, some animals fight, others run while a few hide, hoping not to be noticed.

By doing so, the tiny creature bounces down the rocks just like a rubber ball. The pebble toad of Venezuela does something altogether different: it curls up like a ball and throws itself down the side of a mountain. LINK

Monstrous footprints of the mysterious creatures

Since the prehistoric times, our planet has been home to so many mysterious creatures. While some vanished out of existence completely, others are still there peeping through those remote haunts of extinction. They keep on reminding us that their tale, the Yetis’ and the dinosaurs in particular, is not yet over.
