Lamborghini has donated a police version of the company's newest super sports car, Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia. The Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia powered by 560 horsepower engine that can reach speeds of up to 203 mph. It sported a recording video system, as soon as police officers discover a suspicious driver, with the help of GPS data, the device can calculate the location, direction of movement and speed of the Lamborghini. Using radio data transmission, the video system in the Gallardo Polizia transfers its images in real time to the relevant police station. LINK

Recycling Eagle’ sculpture release on Earth Day
Burnaby artist Bill Thomson, places his ‘Recycling Eagle’ sculpture at the new Vancouver Convention Centre building. Bill’s ‘Recycling Eagle’ is one of over 150 ‘Eagles in the City’ to be located in towns around the province from April 2009 to April 2010. The project is sponsored by the BC Lions Society.
The artist states: ‘Recycling Eagle’, is a urban eagle with a sharp eye for salvage and a popular culture flair for ‘bling’. The silvery wings are embellished with the shiny backs of recycled license plates along with a built in LED light system on the trailing edge of the wings. In order for a plane to safely land on an aircraft carrier without racing off the end, its tailhook needs to be ‘caught’ by arresting cables attached to the carrier’s deck (see here). these cables need to be extremely strong and durable but also flexible enough so as not to stop the plane too quickly. these 5 test tracks, located at navair in lakehurst, are dedicated to testing these very systems and the emergency barricades. Modern Architecture - Korean Pavilion for 2010 World Expo: Shanghai
Architects Mass Studies have unveiled their design for the Korean pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China. The Korean Pavilion is situated in Zone A, directly neighboring the Japan Pavilion and the Saudi Arabia Pavilion, and in close proximity to the China Pavilion. The site is around 64,600 ft² (6000m²), and it is one of the largest lots within the expo compound. The pavilion will include a large exhibition space, VIP lounge, press room, conference room, restaurant, administrative facilities and a roof garden.
