Drum Kit T-Shirt
(YouTube link)
So, how about an electronic t-shirt with a picture of an actual playable drum kit on the front? That’s right. Hit the drums on this shirt with your finger and they play through the built in speaker… simple but amazing. With 7 different drum sounds you’re ready for a personal drum solo on your chest.
It’s compact, portable, and unfortunately for the rest of us, you can’t see it coming. Link, Via: Neatorama
Cal Orko: Dinousaur Dance Floor

Photo: jpspbj [Flickr]
An immense limestone wall in Cal Orko, Sucre, Bolivia, is home to a fantastic sight: thousands of dinosaur tracks made millions of years ago!
The immense Bolivian site is the rock face of an outcropping on a slant of 73 degrees, 80 meters high and 1.2 km long. There are more than 5,000 tracks of 294 different dinosaurs made during the second half of the Cretaceous period. [...] There is such an impressive amount of tracks that some of the researchers said this place seemed to be a dinosaurs’ dancefloor.

Dead Star, a Sculpture by Michel de Broin

"Dead Star" is a sculpture by Michel de Broin made from used up batteries:
Dead Star is made from residual battery at the end of their duty. Left to itself, the sculpture will slowly cool down since there is no longer electronic activity taking place in it. The hundreds of batteries were once used to power appliances before they finish their cycle in a recycle facility. Retrieve from death, they were assembled again in this whole structure.

Z59: a DIY Ariel Atom

Photo: Proximacentauri [Flickr]
The Ariel Atom is one sweet car, but it costs a lot of money. So Flickr user Proximacentauri decided that he’s going to build his own. Behold the z59, which was made out of … junk!
This is the final result of 15 months and at least 800 hours of work in the garage. This is not counting time spent designing, ordering parts, negotiating prices, etc.
The car was built from scratch. The engine is an Acura k20a3 from an RSX. It sounds awesome.
Special thanks for the Make community for inspiring the maker spirit in me. Building stuff yourself is a much better way to be a citizen than senseless consumption.
The car has a good amount of junk (recycled stuff) in it. The stainless panels all came from old appliances. The black body panels came from an ancient kayak and an old doghouse. The throttle pedal was made entirely from salvaged parts from a dumpster at an engineering firm around town. Of course, the engine was also recycled from a crashed car.
It’s a blast to drive.
0-60: 4.5 seconds
MPG: 35+ miles per gallon
The best part: the bizarre looks I get from random strangers.

Paul Newman RIP

Legendary actor Paul Newman has died at the age of 83 of cancer:
Paul Newman, the legendary actor whose steely blue eyes, good-humored charm and advocacy of worthy causes made him one of the most renowned figures in American arts, has died of cancer at his home in Westport, Connecticut. He was 83. [...]
In 1982, Newman and his friend A.E. Hotchner founded Newman’s Own, a food company that produced food ranging from pasta sauces to salad dressing to chocolate chip cookies.
"The embarrassing thing is that the salad dressing is outgrossing my films," Newman once wryly noted.
To date, the company — which donates all profits to charities such as Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang camps — has given away more than $200 million. Newman established the camp to benefit gravely ill children.

Rock Carvings Document the Secret History of Aboriginal Contact with Outsiders

Photo: Rick Stevens
Hidden in the rugged hills of Arnhem, Australia, are stunning Aboriginal rock carvings that depict the history of Aboriginal contact with outsiders - from sailing ships to 19th-century steamships and even a World War II battleship!
Alongside exquisite rock art more than 15,000 years old are paintings that capture some of the 19th and 20th centuries’ most important technological innovations - a biplane, bicycle, car and rifle - as well as portraits of church ministers, sea captains and traders.

My Rose
A Rose don't last forever, but photo's will.
In this Rose and Photo there is memories still.
I received this Rose from my Sweetie on our way to the Minnesota State Fair. Which was my very first time ever in my life to have gone to the State Fair. I had a really great time as we laughed and joked through the day. He even got me on a ride. Am scared of heights but over came my fear half way through. Sad part I got used to it and our return ride back got balled up cause the guy took both sets of tickets at the start. But we enjoyed our walk back and our time together.

20 Most Incredible Desert Oases

An oasis is a fertile tract of land that occurs in a desert wherever a permanent supply of fresh water is available. Oases vary in size from about 2.5 acres around small springs to vast areas of naturally watered or irrigated land.
Underground water sources account for most oases; their springs and wells are supplied from sandstone aquifers whose intake areas may be more than 500 miles away. LINK: Presurfer
My Parents "I Love and Miss Them"

I am posting 3 videos with there photo that have a lot of meaning to me. I grew up on a farm with hard times. Patches reminds me a lot of them hard times. Blueberry Hill reminds me of when Mom and Dad would dance around the living room together. Daddy's Hands reminds me each and everyday how much I miss him since he passed away. Both my parents are deceased, my Dad in 1969 and my Mom in 2000. For those of you that still have parents spend time or even a phone call, it's empty without them.

Duck with Chicken Feet is Afraid of the Water

Chinese farmer Fu Haiwen has a strange duck: it has chicken feet and is afraid of the water!
Fu said he bought the duck in June but did not notice its unusual feet for ten days, reports Laibin News.
It was only after he noticed it acting differently to the rest of the ducks that he examined it closely and was surprised to see it did not have webbed feet.
"It never went with the other ducks to swim in the river," he explained.

Predator in London

A south London junk shop displays life-size movie characters outside to draw attention. Recently, a metal sculpture of the Predator has joined their ranks.
A junk yard is probably far too harsh a word for it. However, each morning the proprietors of a – dang – junk yard in Lewisham, London, drag to the forefront a massive eight foot replica of one of our favorite scary movie beasts, the Predator. They are vague about the origins of the structure, but not so much about the price attached to it. Although they are more than willing to haggle, your starting gambit had better start at five thousand (British) pounds. Otherwise, leave it out! LINK, Via: Neatorama

Planet of the Lemur: 10 Beautiful Little-Known Species

The Crowned Lemur has a lovely strip of red across its forehead, hence its name and does have the look of a small girl going to a party dressed as a princess! It lives mostly on the Ankarana Plateau of Madagascar and at the very most there are only ten thousand of them on the island. This is the lemur most likely to give birth to twins and it lives for around twenty years. LINK, Via: Presurfer

Ghettoblaster + Car = DJ Mobile

What do you get when you supersize the ghettoblaster and attach it to a car? Behold, the DJ Mobile:
The idea for the DJ Mobile is inspired by the song "God is a DJ" [from faithless] and the car of our HOLY-POPE. These two things were mixed together and there it was the DJ Mobile. The DJ Mobile is a functional artwork with a PA System built in. It can be used for a lot of different events.

Three Klein Bottles Inside (Outside?) One Another

What’s more awesome than a Klein bottle? Why, three Klein bottles inside (outside?) one another! Here’s the glass sculpture by Alan Bennett for the Science Museum in London:
It consists of three Klein bottles, one inside another. A Klein bottle is a surface which has no edges, no outside or inside and cannot properly be constructed in three dimensions. In the series Alan Bennett made Klein bottles analogous to Mobius strips with odd numbers of twists greater than one.

(de)light: Liquid Light by Christina Ferraz Rigo

In her (de)light project, Christina Ferraz Rigo creates a lamp that uses liquid as its source of light:
In dark rooms, the liquid glows with intensity when the proper catalyst is mixed with water. Sure, it may not be conventional, but liquid light is some snazzy stuff. The catalyst used is most likely a phosphorescent material, which is non-toxic and unlike glowsticks, it has a decent “glow time” of about 20 hours.

Coming hot on the heels of the Olympics (see what I did there?), here is Sydney’s Stiletto dash!
The world record for the number of high-heeled sprinters in a race has been smashed by a group of women in Australia.
Two hundred and sixty-five women took part in the 80m dash in Sydney wearing three-inch heels.
Professional hurdler Brittney McGlone easily outran her competitors, taking home $5,000 Australian dollars (£2,500) and a pair of gold stilettos.
